Notes

A fleet of three boats hunts Bianca and Bond in their stolen Fairey Huntress 23.

The roots of this boat is planted in the speedboats designed by American Ray Hunt, the hull is modified by Alan Burnard, Fairey Marine's designer. The Fairey Huntsman 28 is a bigger brother of the Huntress boat.

Following a success of the Huntress, Alan Burnard sat down to his desk and updated the drawings to a bigger, faster and more powerful boat and scored another successful design. The Huntsman soon became a classic of its own. Construction was the same as Huntress - hot moulded agba wood. Equipped with two engines - turbo loaded diesels, which resulted in a very fast boat. It collected a lot of scores and speed records. Owners looking for records modified their boats, some by replacing the engines with US car engines, resulting in total power over 500hp.

A total of 119 boats were build by Fairey Marine from 1961 to 1974. In 2017 Fairey Marine updated the Huntsman 28 with modernised interiur, up-rated engines and systems. The hull is composite and it is powered by two Yanmar6BY3-220hp, turbocharged with air charge cooler. An upgrade to two Yanmar 6BY3-260hp is available.
