Notes

On 4. December 2014 the cast and title for the 24 James Bond film, Spectre, was announced at a press event on the 007 stage at Pinewood. The first to be introduced by the films director, Sam Mendes was the brand new Aston Martin DB10.

The Aston Martin DB10 is a new model developed specifically for the film. The design team at Aston Martin has been working closely with Sam Mendes, to create the car. There were only produced 10 cars, all for the film. The cars were developed and built by Aston Martin's designers, engineers and craftspeople at Aston Martin's Gaydon headquarters.

The car was designed and surfaced in a remarkably short timescale - with less than 5 month from the first sketch to initial body panels being produced. The chassis is based on a modified V8 Vantage. DB10 was made from as few panels as possiblie reducing the number of shutlines. All body panels are carbon fibre.

In Spectre the car was ment for Agent 009, but Bond 'borrows' it before the handover. In it's place Bond leaves a bottle of Bollinger for Q. In Rome Bond attend a funeral and later escapes a Spectre meeting in the DB10. He's chased through the streets of Rome by the Spectre henchman Hinx. In his Jaguar C-X75 Hinx chases Bond down to the banks of river Tiber, where Bond finally escapes using the gadgets.

On 18. February 2016 one of the DB10s (the 10th) was up for auction at Christie's, London. The proceeds is donated to Médecins Sans Frontiéres. The DB10 was estimated to GBP 1.000.000-1.500.000. But it was sold for GBP 2.434.500 (USD 3.476.466)
