Notes

When Bond wins a Backgammon game against Kamal Khan, he takes a Tuk-Tuk taxi (auto rickshaw) at the Casino exit - driven by his ally Vijay (played by Vijay Amritraj) Special expediter, Universal Exports India. Spotting a henchman following them, Bond initiates a run away drive, one of the craziest he got into. They are chased by another Tuk Tuk and a Jeep and fight their way through the crowdy Indian town. But thanks to their fighting abilities in crowdy spaces and showing off the company cars abilities - they finally escapes through what apears to be a solid wall.

History of the three-wheeled cars started before World War 2 in Japan and spreaded all over the Asian world. Bajaj Auto started producing two- and three-wheelers in 1959. This Indian company has been producing motorcycles, scooters and three-wheelers for over 50 years and is the largest manufactorer of three-wheelers in the world. RE is their main model, facelifted from time to time. Usually equipped with 150-200 cm3, 2 or 4 stroke engines producing 9-15 HP power. The models comes in petrol, diesel and CNG.

This company car must have been tuned by Q branch as the ride including 2 back-wheel stunt with 2 persons onboard seems impossible to perform with standard car.

Interesting fact - Vijay Amritraj, is a famous professional Indian tennisplayer who appeared few times in Wimbledon and higher level games in seventies. His highest world ranking is #16 on 7. July 1980 in single. Well in Octopussy he showed how to use the racket alternatively.
